Rutledge Lake Lodge offers a unique opportunity to fishing enthusiasts who desire an exclusive fishing vacation destination that only a fly-in lodge can provide.  The Lodge hosts a limited number of guests enjoying exclusive use of the Lodge and amenities.

Rutledge Lake Lodge is located in the Precambrian Shield 125 miles southeast of Yellowknife NT on Rutledge Lake.  In 1977 a lease was secured by Bob McMeekin and Rutledge Lake was constructed on the west shore of Rutledge Lake showcasing a picturesque view of the lake and surroundings.  The Lodge has hosted numerous fishing enthusiasts over the years with many returning year after year to fish their favorite spots and to discover new!

Rutledge Lake is approximately 150 – 170 square miles with countless islands, bays and drop-offs providing guests with ideal lake trout and northern pike fishing.   Its safe to say many of these “secret holes” have yet to see a lure!

The Lodge is accessible by float plane only and provides some amazing aerial views on the flight to and from the lodge.  When travelling from Yellowknife, the flight follows the shores of Great Slave Lake and the size and beauty of Great Slave becomes evident, truly a remarkable sight!

In the summer, the Northwest Territories is truly the “Land of the Midnight Sun”.  Commencing in June at the Lodge,  angler’s can enjoy fishing late into the evening taking advantage of the summer solstice.

The average daylight in June is 19:42, July 18:50, August 16:05 and September 12:58. Whether catching a laker after midnight or enjoying the unspoiled beauty of ones surroundings, you might be surprised how quickly a day or even week can pass when averaging 19 hour of daylight per day!
